Overview of the Techmount Radar Detector Mounting System
Unlike many of the other motorcycle mounting systems on the market today, the Techmount system is crafted from aircraft grade billet aluminum through a patent CNC process.
The Techmount system is available in several different styles such as mirror mounts, control mounts, handlebar mounts, fairing mounts, stem mounts and fork tube mounts, which will fit virtually any motorcycle ever made.
Our most popular mounting system is our motorcycle handlebar radar detector mount which fits tubular handlebars from 7/8” to 1 ¼”.
Installation is easy, just select the reducer sleeve for your handlebar, remove the two Allen screws and separate the two halves of the mount and connect your mount to your handlebars and tighten down the screws.
Our second most popular mounting system for motorcycles is our control mounting system that fits many American and metric motorcycles including all Harley-Davidson’s.
To install remove your screws from the control mount on either your clutch or brake and replace your screws with ours while installing the mount.
Our motorcycle fork tube stem mounting system is designed to mount into the fork tube stem hole on various motorcycles including Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha.
Each kit comes with six stem mounts in different sizes including 13mm, 16mm, 17mm, 18mm, 19mm and 24mm.
Installation takes less then a minute, first select the stem mount that is the correct size for your bike, dampen the O-ring and slide it down your stem hole.
In a few minutes you mount will form a secure fit in your stem hole and you can now install your radar detector top plate and install your radar detector.
Our Harley-Davidson batwing radar detector-fairing mount attaches to pre-2014 batwing style fairings on either the left or right side.
Installation does require you to remove your windshield, separate the top half of the fairing and drilling two holes. A typical installation takes 30 to 45 minutes.
We have 5 different sizes of motorcycle radar detector fork tube mounts ranging in size from 48mm to 58mm, which will fit Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, Moto Guzzi, MV Agusta and Kawasaki motorcycles.
Just slide your mount over the extending fork tube and tighten one bolt.
Installation takes less then 4-minutes.
