The problem with the power cable that usually comes with your radar detector is that when your detector is installed, the cable will not only be haphazardly stretched across your dash, but will also take over your accessory plug.
Then, we have Escort’s direct wire cable, which is often is too short and shiny to look professional.
To combat this, we offer HardTap's easy to install Radar Detector HardWire kit, which has an in-line fuse and is 8 feet long.
Just connect one end into your fuse box or a +12 power source, conceal the cable under your vehicle trim and/or headliner, and then plug it into your detector.
The HardTap comes equipped with an RJ-11 connector for Escort, Beltronics and Valentine One radar detectors.
