The Cobra Road Scout's digital signal processing brings a high level of detection performance and very good filtering of K-band collision avoidance systems.

The new innovative Cobra Road Scout detector and dash cam enables drivers to have protection from traffic enforcement as well as a continuously running dash cam all in one unit for seamless operation.

Cobra has created a brand new product segment and we believe the Road Scout represents the biggest innovation since the incorporation of GPS into a detector. We're certain this new detector is going to develop a sizable following.

Long Range Detection

The Road Scout offers very good alerting range to police radar.

Filtering

Cobra's IVT (in-vehicle technology) filter does a good job of filtering out K-band collision-avoidance systems found in many vehicles.

Easy Advanced Programming

You can easily program the Road Scout via the Cobra iRadar smartphone app.

OLED Display

A full-color OLED display provides a wealth of driver information including, radar frequency, signal strength, speed traveled, and posted speed limit.

Connectivity Options

There are three connectivity options:

Bluetooth is used for controlling the radar detector portion using Cobra’s iRadar app. A video tutorial can be found below.
WIFI CAMERA MODE, allows control of the dash cam configuration by way of Cobra’s Drive HD app
WIFI RADAR MODE, allows the detector to pair with an existing hotspot in the vehicle to access updates and Defender/Aura data without the need of the iRadar app

Firmware

Supports wireless firmware updates via WIFI.
